Join the Circus

More than 100 students participate in each of the two annual PAL Sailor Circus sessions held every year.  During these sessions, students are trained in various circus skills from clowning to tumbling, from high-wire to flying trapeze, from unicycle to juggling, and much more!  Our students are exposed to every aspect of circus training, from rigging and costuming to presentation and performing. 

Students from 4thgrade through 12th grade in Sarasota and surrounding counties are eligible to participate in the Sailor Circus Program. Registration for Session One is closed for the general public due to the construction taking place in our arena. Open enrollment will begin in January for session two. 

Registration for Session Two begins in January and practice sessions run through the performance dates in April.

The cost of the program is $200 per session.  Students will also be required to purchase appropriate attire including leotards, shoes and tights.  These items are available for purchase, at an affordable rate, through the PAL Sailor Circus.  Financial assistance is available for students who demonstrate financial need.

Volunteers

PAL Sailor Circus wouldn't be The Greatest "Little" Show on Earth without the loving support of its more than 150 volunteers, who donate more than 25,000 hours of their time during each performing season.

With each performance requiring many hands to ensure a successful show, PAL Sailor Circus relies heavily on its team of dedicated volunteers to ensure that props are made, costumes have been designed, rigging is in place, concessions are ready for sale, music has been programmed and finally … that performers are dressed and ready to go!
