My family moved away from Sarasota the summer
I turned 16, so I only had my sophomore year in the Sailor Circus. But it
made such an impression on me that for the next couple of years I dreamed of
running away to the circus when I graduated high school. I didn't do that,
but I have always kept my wonderful memories of the year I was part of the
Sailor Circus.
I've lost touch with most of the people I knew then, although I still do keep in contact with Jill Fegan--in fact she visited me a couple of years go. I married a French Canadian in 1976 and moved from Houston, Texas to Montreal, Canada in 1984. I've been divorced for several years and my 23-year-old daughter lives with me. Today I'm a technical writer for a software firm and my major passion is line-dancing. A family member sent me the link to this web site, along with the message "Seems to me I remember you babbling for years about something called the Sailor Circus--would this be it?" To my pleased surprise, yep, this is it! I'm so glad to re-connect. My best wishes to everyone involved, and I look forward to the newsletter. Thanks! |
